The Physical Fitness Assessment is conducted by a fitness specialist during your first visit to a center for the purpose of:
- evaluating your current health and fitness
- discussing with you your health-related goals and interests and
- developing an exercise program specific to your goals and interests.
What to expect?
This assessment will be your first visit to the fitness center. Expect to:
- allow an hour for the evaluation
- dress for exercise
- discuss your health-related goals and interests and
- participate in a series of tests to determine your current fitness.
Areas for evaluation
The areas of physical fitness selected for evaluation are:
- body composition
- cardiorespiratory endurance
- flexibility and
- muscular strength and endurance.
Summary of tests
The tests that will be administered include measuring your:
- height and weight
- resting heart rate and resting blood pressure
- body composition
- flexibility
- cardiorespiratory endurance and
- muscular strength and endurance.
