Rewarding Energy Innovation

Do you have a great idea that would help people save energy? We want to hear it! If your idea is an energy-saving innovation that will trim at least 25 kilowatts from FPL's summer peak electricity demand (April - Oct, 3 - 6 p.m.), then give us a call. You may receive an FPL incentive for it. The amount depends upon the type of project and how much energy will be saved for FPL customers in the future.

How to Qualify

You can qualify for a business custom incentive if you demonstrate to us that a project/idea:
  • Will trim at least 25 kW from summer peak demand
  • Differs from other FPL conservation programs
  • Passes the Florida Public Service Commission-specified cost-effectiveness tests
Each application is judged separately.

More Details

The following projects are not eligible for this program:

  • Power generation technologies
  • Proposals based on fuel switching or wheeling
  • Technologies currently being evaluated by FPL
