Here's how FPL's DX Air Conditioning Program works:

Qualifying new units include:

Air, water and evaporative cooled air conditioning
Package terminal air conditioners or heat pump systems, and
Units that exceed the Florida Energy Efficiency Code.

Install a qualifying new system and your business will receive an incentive on the cost of the job. The amount of your incentive varies based on the new unit's size, type and efficiency.

Breaking down the savings

The following chart illustrates how much you can save by upgrading your cooling system to a high-efficiency DX model.

For example, if you operate your business 4,500 hours a year, and upgrade from an 10.3 EER to a 13 EER (on a 10-ton unit), you could save $881 a year on cooling costs.
