Power problems can be disastrous to sensitive electrical equipment
and inventory. Occurrences such as accidents,
lightning and
high winds
can happen at all hours of the day and night — whether you're
open for business or not.
A power monitor records voltage conditions, such as
- momentary interruptions
- high and low voltage occurrences and
- power outages.
FPL's Power Monitoring Service is on the job 24 hours a day, seven
days a week (even during holidays), even if you are not.
Who is Power Monitoring for?
FPL's Power Monitoring Service is for businesses that are
- dependent on sensitive electronic equipment
- have multiple locations
- unmanned sites or
- facilities with refrigerant/ heat sensitive inventory.
How it works
A power monitor is installed at your electrical service point and
records voltage conditions. When problems occur, the system
- notifies the AC Central Processing Center
- notifies your designated contact and
- forwards a trouble call to FPL.
Depending on the level of service, you also receive a call or
page detailing the date and time of
- the power interruption and
- power restoration.
