Power Monitoring
Power problems can be disastrous to sensitive electrical equipment and inventory. Occurrences such as accidents, lightning and high winds can happen at all hours of the day and night - whether you're open for business or not.
A power monitor records voltage conditions, such as:
- Momentary interruptions
- High and low voltage occurrences, and
- Power outages.
FPL's Power Monitoring Service is on the job 24 hours a day, seven days a week (even during holidays) - even if you are not.
Who is Power Monitoring for?
FPL's Power Monitoring Service is for businesses that are:
- Dependent on sensitive electronic equipment
- Have multiple locations
- Have unmanned sites, or
- Facilities with refrigerant/ heat sensitive inventory.
How it works
A power monitor is installed at your electrical service point and records voltage conditions. When problems occur, the system:
- Notifies the AC Central Processing Center
- Notifies your designated contact, and
- Forwards a trouble call to FPL.
Depending on the level of service, you also receive a call or page detailing the date and time of the:
- Power interruption, and
- Power restoration.
