BuildSmart for Humanity
FPL is pleased to announce a regional partnership with Habitat for Humanity to sponsor Habitat homes in counties affected by the hurricanes of 2004. This partnership will allow FPL to incorporate the BuildSmart® energy conservation feature into more than 300 Habitat for Humanity homes in communities we serve.
What is BuildSmart?
BuildSmart is FPL's program to help construct energy efficient new homes. BuildSmart homes are inspected and certified by trained FPL energy experts and are up to 30 percent more energy efficient than homes not built to the program’s standards. The added energy efficiency can help save hundreds of dollars on energy bills annually.
