Captain Conservation Saves the Day

Captain Conservation Saves the Day, sponsored by Florida Power & Light Company, is a new educational assembly-styled program available for elementary school-aged children – Kindergarten through 3rd grades – at public schools in FPL’s service area. A 45-minute presentation, the show is packed with original songs, audience participation and fun, designed to teach young students how they can be involved in energy conservation.

The program is a highly entertaining, unique approach to a very important subject, conservation, and highlights ideas on how students can take part in energy conservation by doing simple, effective tasks around their homes or school. Featuring Mik Jacobs as Captain Conservation, the world’s best singing, guitar playing, nature conscious, costumed superhero, the show challenges audiences to not only recognize but to get involved in the fight of energy conservation for a better tomorrow. During the show Captain Conservation shares his commitment to energy conservation and invites audience members to learn through song, as well as join his Conservation Crew, an elite energy saving team.

Energy Efficiency Week is October 5 - 11, 2006! Designated by Florida’s Governor and the State Legislature, FPL is proud to celebrate Energy Efficiency Week, which recognizes the importance of energy conservation and the lasting impact it can have on our communities and our environment.
