How To Find Us - Directions to the FPL Energy Encounter
The Energy Encounter is located adjacent to the St. Lucie nuclear power plant on South Hutchinson Island between Ft. Pierce and Stuart.

| Directions from: |
- I-95 South
- Take I-95 north to Stuart Exit 101 (State Road 76).
- Head east toward Stuart approximately 4 miles.
- Turn right at Monterey Road.
- Bear left at fork (To Hutchinson Island beaches).
- Continue on Monterey until you get to East Ocean Blvd. You will cross over U.S. 1 and Alt A1A.
- Turn right on East Ocean Blvd. (A1A).
- Continue over the bridge and the Stuart Causeway.
- Continue approximately 12 miles to the St. Lucie nuclear plant.
- Turn left into Gate B.
- Follow the blue Energy Encounter signs and flags for parking.
- I-95 North
- Take I-95 south to Fort Pierce, exit at 131A, East Orange Avenue.
- Turn left and travel east toward U.S. 1 and turn left on U.S. 1.
- Follow U.S. 1 north about a quarter mile and turn right onto Seaway Drive.
- Follow Seaway Drive over the causeway until you reach the beach.
- Turn right onto Route A1A, also known as South Ocean Drive.
- Travel south on Route A1A for 9 miles to the St. Lucie nuclear plant.
- Turn right into Gate B.
- Follow the blue Energy Encounter signs and flags for parking.
- Turnpike South
- Take the turnpike south and exit at Port St. Lucie Blvd.
- Turn right at Port St. Lucie Blvd. and travel to U.S. 1.
- Turn right on U.S. 1.
- Make a left at Jensen Beach Blvd.
- At the first traffic circle (at the railroad tracks), go ¾ around to Pineapple Ave. North.
- At the next traffic circle, go ½ around (East) then cross the Jensen Beach Causeway.
- At the next traffic circle, go ¾ around (North) A1A.
- Continue approximately 7 miles to the St. Lucie nuclear plant.
- Turn left into Gate B.
- Follow the blue Energy Encounter signs and flags for parking .
- Turnpike North
- Take the turnpike north to Exit 133 (SR-714) and go straight onto Martin Downs Blvd.
- Go over the Palm City Bridge where Martin Downs changes name to Monterey Road.
- Bear left at fork (To Hutchinson Island beaches).
- Continue on Monterey until you get to E. Ocean Blvd. You will cross over U.S. 1 and Alt. A1A.
- Turn right on East Ocean Blvd. (A1A).
- Continue over the bridge and also over Stuart Causeway.
- Continue approximately 12 miles to the St. Lucie nuclear plant.
- Turn right into Gate B.
- Follow the blue Energy Encounter signs and flags for parking.
