Temporary service

Temporary electrical service may be available to your construction site. There are several options for temporary service. Please discuss these options with your FPL project manager.

Submit project information

Notify an FPL project manager of your upcoming project using the Notification of New Commercial Construction.

Site Plan (for all projects)

Survey (if available)

Utility Plans Paving & Drainage Plan

Electrical & Mechanical Plans

Street Lighting Plans

Architectural and Structural Plans

Landscaping Plans

Platting Information

Request an Availability of Service Letter

E-mail your FPL project manager to request an Availability of Service Letter to confirm that FPL has electrical facilities available to serve your project. This letter could provide confirmation to your lender or local municipality.

Request for fault current information

E-mail your FPL project manager to request an Available Fault Current Letter for the facilities serving your project.

Underground locations

Florida Statute 556 requires excavators to request cable locates at least 48 hours prior to digging. Call 1-800-432-4770 to request Sunshine State One Call to locate underground facilities on your property. There is no charge for this service. "Call Before You Dig!"

Electrical inspections

Before power can be connected to a building, local electrical inspection requirements must be satisfied and communicated to FPL by the inspecting authority. Please check with your Local Building Department (city or county) to ensure you fulfill their requirements.
