Being Good Neighbors

Serving the local communities, Turkey Point, St. Lucie, Seabrook and Duane Arnold nuclear power plants provide more than electricity. The plants

• are one of the largest employers in the areas in which they are located and
• provide millions of dollars into the local economies through
• payroll
• property taxes and
• local service contracts and purchases.

Employees also believe in being good neighbors. They contribute to United Way agencies each year and volunteer their time with community organizations, churches, PTAs, Little Leagues, Scouts and more.

St. Lucie Plant offers free educational programs to area schools through its visitors' center, the Energy Encounter. Seabrook Station also provides similar opportunities at its Science and Nature Center. All three plants have offered special events, such as Scout Day and teacher workshops.

FPL's nuclear power plants provide clean energy and protect the environment.
