Environmental Benefits

Nuclear power is a clean energy source, giving us cleaner air and helping to address climate change with a technology that is proven. Building additional nuclear power at the existing Turkey Point site would minimize the impact to the environment and build on current environmental benefits.

If built, Turkey Point 6 & 7 could offer cost and financial benefits that would help stimulate the local and regional economy by bringing jobs and tax revenue to the county.

Reliability and Cost Benefits

Nuclear power delivers electricity in a cost-effective and reliable manner that produces large amounts of electricity continously for as many as 18 months at a time.

Technology and Safety Benefits

The new reactor design will incorporate the latest technology and even more advanced safety features than today’s plants, which have already achieved record safety levels.
