Sharing plant expansion plans with the Greater Homestead/Florida City Chamber | Broadcasting the weather

We are committed to an ongoing dialogue with our Turkey Point and South Miami-Dade neighbors on the proposal to add a new, environmentally advanced, natural gas-fired generating unit to our existing power plant site near Florida City.

Please check back for news of local activities, as well as the time and location of upcoming community meetings or presentations on the Turkey Point proposal to meet the future electricity needs of South Floridians.

Sharing plant expansion plans with the Greater Homestead/Florida City Chamber

Members of FPL's Turkey Point community outreach team provided a presentation to Chamber members on the company's plans to add a new generating unit to the South Miami-Dade site. Attending the April general membership lunch meeting at the Redland Golf and Country Club were (L to R) Stephany Peschke, Ramon Ferrer, Davida Rolle, Clive Campbell and John Schnorbus, as well as Turkey Point plant manager Ed Nunez (not pictured).
