Solar Water Heating Low-Income New Construction Program

FPL will continue offering our solar pilot programs during 2015. Please check back in the first week of December for more information.
As part of a five-year pilot program authorized by the Florida Public Service Commission, FPL is partnering with not-for-profit low-income-housing builders under the Solar Water Heating Low-Income New Construction Program to install 1,000 solar water heaters in low-income housing units over the next five years.

According to the Florida Solar Energy Center (FSEC), a solar water heater can cut a family's water-heating costs by up to 85 percent, which will help low-income families keep costs down in their new homes.

This rebate is not open to individual applicants; recipients will be selected by the low-income housing builders through a separate process. For more information, email SolarLISupport@fpl.com.

Any not-for-profit low-income housing builder* who is interested in applying for the Solar Water Heating Low-Income New Construction Program should follow the steps below.
