Minimize Energy Usage
By maintaining your pool's cleanliness, water clarity, and chemical levels, you may be able to reduce your pool pump's run time and save up to $100 per year.

FPL recommends you limit the run time to:
- Six hours each day in the summer
- Four hours each day in the winter
New Pool Pump Law
A new Florida law requires pool pumps to be more energy-efficient. The law goes into effect at the end of 2011. It bans the sale and installation of single-speed pool pumps with one or more horsepower. Be sure to talk to a certified or registered pool contractor if you have questions.
