How To Tell If Your Appliances Are On Call

As the demand for energy increases, so does the need for additional power plants. Thanks to over 750,000 On Call® participants, FPL has already saved enough energy to avoid building two additional power plants. And that helps keep rates down for everybody.

How to tell if your appliances are On Call

If you're currently an On Call subscriber, you'll find the small gray On Call box located either

  • inside, near your water heater, or
  • outside, near your air conditioner or pool pump.

The On Call box allows FPL to communicate with enrolled appliances, including

  • central A/C
  • central heating
  • electric water heater and
  • pool pump.
  

The On Call box has a small window displaying red and green lights:

  • Green light: Your On Call appliances are available for use.
  • Red light: FPL is cycling select appliances.
