1

Review FPL's Net Metering Guidelines to help you achieve a system that best suits your needs.

2

View and print the Tier Two Agreement: Tier Two (>10kW-100kW)

Complete the Agreement with your signature either witnessed or notarized.  The customer of record on the FPL account must execute this Agreement.

    3

View and print the Application.

Complete the Application.

4

Submit the following to FPL:

  • Completed Application and Agreement
  • Documentation showing proof of insurance per the Agreement
  • An electrical one-line diagram and specification sheets for the inverter and other installed equipment, such as PV panels

FPL will review your plans and inspect the FPL facilities that serve you to make sure the two systems are compatible.

FPL will send you a letter acknowledging receipt and review of the above documentation, and will also sign and return a copy of the executed Agreement.

FPL will then invoice you for the $400 Application fee. When you receive this invoice, please send FPL a check in that amount.

5

Once construction is complete, have your system inspected by the local Authority that has jurisdiction. Send FPL a copy of the final permit showing the system approved and signed off.

FPL will change the meter within 30 days of receipt of all the above-mentioned completed paperwork and payment.

6

Do not begin parallel operation until your bidirectional meter is installed.

Prior to installation of the new meter the system should be operated only for testing and inspection.
