Safety provides the foundation for the operation of FPL nuclear power plants at

• Seabrook Station, in Seabrook, N.H.,
• St. Lucie, near Fort Pierce, and
• Turkey Point, south of Miami.

FPL provides world-class performance

According to the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO), Turkey Point and St. Lucie are ranked among the top performing nuclear power plants in the U.S. nuclear industry. Seabrook Station is also known as one of the premier generating facilities in the country.

Monitoring and inspections

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission, a federal government agency, monitors our operations closely. Daily inspections are conducted on-site at the two plants to ensure compliance with federal regulations on public health, safety and the environment.

Clean energy source

FPL's nuclear power plants are also a clean energy resource. Since nuclear power plants do not burn fuel, there are virtually no air emissions, such as greenhouse gases that may contribute to global warming.
