Changing Account to New Owner
If you need to change the name on your account to a different person – such as a spouse, roommate or relative – you will need to stop service in your name and have the new account holder open service in their name. It’s quick and easy to complete these steps using our Start, Stop, Move page. If you do not enter a Stop or Move order, your account will automatically be closed on the new account holder’s move-in date.
Account Holder is Deceased

Account Holder is Changing their Name
If you want to keep the account holder as the same person – for example, if you are changing your name due to marriage or divorce – you need to submit an appropriate legal document so that we can confirm the name change. Please call us at (800) 225-5797 and we will assist you with this process.
