United Way Giving 
NextEra Energy, Inc. employees have a strong tradition and history of supporting United Way. Employees make pledges through payroll deductions and special event fund raising. Since 2000, NextEra Energy and its employees have donated more than $22.8 million and countless hours of volunteer work.

Educational Matching Gifts 
NextEra Energy provides a dollar-for-dollar match of employee gifts to eligible high schools, colleges and universities. Since 2003, NextEra Energy has donated close to $1 million.

Disaster Relief
When disaster strikes close to home, NextEra Energy responds quickly by providing opportunities for employees to contribute to the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. In 2008, employees contributed $35,000 for the Iowa flood victims. The company matched employee contributions, dollar-for-dollar, for a total of $70,000.
