FPL’s sea turtle program at the St. Lucie Plant and our relationship with Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach, Florida, are part of an environmental commitment that has benefited conservation and research involving endangered sea turtles.

Earlier this year, an ailing green turtle was recovered at FPL’s St. Lucie Plant and named “Today” after NBC’s network television morning news program. Today made her dramatic return to the ocean as part of a Today Show segment following treatment to remove plastic fishing line from her body. See her story and track Today’s movements.
