Introducing GEP Smart: A new procurement platform for our valued suppliers

In October 2025, NextEra Energy, Inc. and its subsidiaries, including Florida Power & Light Company (FPL), will begin a transition to a new centralized procurement platform: GEP Smart. This change is designed to improve the way we work with our valued suppliers by streamlining the purchase order and invoicing process.

What to Expect

  • Faster invoice processing
  • Fewer manual errors with real-time visibility into order and invoice status
  • No network fees to use GEP Smart
  • Support available through the GEP Smart help desk

What You Need to Know

  • Beginning in mid-August, current suppliers who support our Power Generation Business (PGD) will receive an email with onboarding instructions regarding the required registration on this new platform.
  • If you are a current PGD supplier and do not receive notification, contact NextEra Supplier Management
  • Supplier onboarding and training will be essential to ensure a smooth transition.
  • PGD suppliers not onboarded by the October 2025 go-live date may experience delays in payment and processing

Note

  • The October 2025 transition date is for material and service suppliers working with the Power Generation Business (PGD).
  • Other NextEra Energy business units, including Engineering & Construction but excluding Nuclear, will transition to the platform in March 2026.
  • Suppliers that solely support Nuclear Plants will not be affected by this change.
