Meet Steve Rhodes
Steve Rhodes is Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) External Affairs Manager for Santa Rosa County. Steve is responsible for building and fostering community relationships and coordinating external outreach for major construction projects including solar centers and reliability projects in the County.
During his 33-year career, Steve has worked in many areas of the company to include; Power Generation, Power Delivery, Marketing, Customer Service, and External Relations. Steve is an active community advocate, serving on numerous boards and organizations, including the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, Santa Rosa Kid’s House, CareerSource Escarosa, First Place Partners, Santa Rosa Medical Center, and Santa Rosa Education Foundation. Steve is also a mentor for Take Stock in Children and is an active member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church.
Steve is married to Kristen Rhodes, and they have five children. The family enjoys the many outdoor recreational opportunities of Santa Rosa County.
Meet Geoffrey West
Geoffrey West is a Project Director of Development for Florida Power & Light Company (FPL). He has been developing solar projects for the company since 2016, however, Geoff has been in the renewable energy industry for 15 years with him working on both wind and solar projects across the country.
Geoffrey received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Sewanee, the University of the South and later earned his Master of Science in Engineering Sciences from the University of Florida. His passion for renewable energy is only surpassed by his commitment and dedication to the environment and ensuring his children and future generations have access to clean air and water.
In his free time, Geoffrey serves on the board of directors of his local YMCA chapter and enjoys coaching youth basketball as well as sharing anything outdoors with his children.
