Receive a credit on your monthly bill when you participate in On Call. This program gives FPL the option to temporarily switch off your air conditioning and/or heating along with the optional appliances you choose, such as your water heater or pool pump. You could save more than $90 a year even if we never need to turn off your appliances.
How On Call works:
Qualifying central electric A/C is required. If present, qualifying central electric heat must also be enrolled.
When you enroll your qualifying central electric air conditioner (A/C) and central electric heater, we can turn off your A/C for up to three hours per day in the summer (April – October) and your heater for up to three hours per day in the winter (November – March).
Electric Water Heater and Single-Speed Pool Pump
With optional appliances, you can save even more! You can also enroll your conventional electric water heater and single-speed pool pump that can be switched off for up to four hours per day.
The appliances you choose to enroll will determine how much money you'll save, and for how long the enrolled appliances can be turned off.

What you can do to help keep our contractors safe:
An FPL-approved licensed electrical contractor will install the On Call device. Once you have spoken with an FPL representative about the appliances you'd like to enroll, the contractor in your area will call to schedule an installation appointment.

Customers that discontinue participating in the program must wait one year to re-enroll.Savings may vary depending on the options you choose. During system emergencies (e.g. extreme weather conditions and capacity shortages as determined by FPL), On Call may be activated for extended periods of time, which may exceed your enrollment agreement.
