How is charging at home different without FPL EVolution Home?
Without FPL EVolution Home, electricity used to charge your EV is included in your home’s regular electric usage and billed at your normal residential rate.

Understand the 10-year agreement, charger ownership, and what happens if your circumstances change.
Why is the FPL EVolution Home agreement 10 years?
FPL EVolution Home is a 10-year agreement. The agreement is designed to help you avoid paying upfront for a charger and installation. Instead, the monthly program charge spreads those costs over the life of the agreement while also including ongoing maintenance.
The 10-year agreement is consistent with the charging equipment’s expected useful life and the PSC approved tariff. Throughout the agreement, program charges, fuel energy charges and non-fuel energy charges are reviewed periodically and subject to change based on regulatory approval.
Who owns the charger during and after the agreement?
During the 10-year agreement, the charger is owned and maintained by FPL. At the end of the agreement, ownership transfers to you at no additional cost.
What happens to the FPL EVolution Home agreement if I move?
If you move during the 10-year agreement, you may be able to transfer the program to your home’s buyer, transfer it to an eligible new home or end the agreement early by calling the FPL EVolution Home Customer Care team at least 20 days before your electric account closes.
If you plan to transfer your agreement to a new home, contact the FPL EVolution Home Customer Care team at 833-919-0939 at least 20 days before your electric account closes to confirm eligibility and discuss your transfer options.
What happens if I get a new EV during the FPL EVolution Home agreement?
Purchasing or leasing a new EV during the agreement does not affect your participation in the program.
What happens if I end the FPL EVolution Home agreement early?
If you need to end the agreement before the end of the 10 years, you will need to call the FPL EVolution Home Customer Care team with 30 days’ notice.
Because we provide the charger and eligible installation with no upfront payment, an early termination fee applies to reflect the remaining applicable equipment and installation costs.
You may keep the charger after paying applicable fees.
To begin the process of ending your agreement, contact the FPL EVolution Home Customer Care team at 833-919-0939.

Note: The monthly program charges of $27 for equipment-only installations and $36 for full installations were approved by the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC) in 2025 and are subject to change upon approval by the PSC. The rate you pay per kilowatt-hour of charging is typically adjusted at least once a year to reflect FPL’s actual expenses to fuel power plants, provide energy conservation programs and other costs that are reviewed annually by state regulators. The most up-to-date rates are always posted online at www.FPL.com/Rates. Review the program Terms & Conditions.

Note: Program charges, fuel energy charges and non-fuel energy charges are reviewed periodically and subject to change upon approval by the Florida Public Service Commission (PSC).

If you need to charge immediately, you can temporarily override the default off-peak schedule using the FPL EVolution app. Electricity used during on-peak hours is billed at the applicable on-peak rate.
