According to the Florida Solar Energy Center (FSEC), a solar water heater can cut a business' water heating costs by 50 to 85 percent, while demonstrating your commitment to a cleaner environment.

As part of a five-year pilot program authorized by the Florida Public Service Commission, FPL is offering business customers a rebate of up to $50,000 per site for installing new solar water heating systems. Customers with multiple locations can receive up to $150,000 per funding year. The rebate is available to all existing business customers with electric or gas water heating.
The initial allocation of 2012 rebate funds for this program has been reserved. FPL will reopen the application period to distribute the remaining rebate funds in the spring of 2012. Please check back for more information.

As part of a five-year pilot program authorized by the Florida Public Service Commission, FPL will help Florida schools reduce their energy consumption and educate the next generation by installing PV systems in at least one school in each of the 28 districts we serve. School districts will select the schools.

This rebate is not open to individual applicants.
