| A person with special medical needs may depend on electricity for his or her well-being. FPL's Medically Essential Service Program is for residential customers whose electric service is medically essential, as certified by a physician licensed to practice in the state of Florida. |

| Always Watching for At Risk Elders |
| Occasionally, elderly customers suffer from grave problems that put them at risk of needless suffering. FPL's AWARE Program is designed to help identify such elders, using FPL field employees as an invaluable set of "eyes and ears" as they perform their work throughout the community |
| BuildSmart for Humanity |
| Through FPL’s regional partnership with Habitat for Humanity, FPL has sponsored 14 Habitat homes and incorporated the BuildSmart® energy conservation features into almost 200 Habitat for Humanity homes. BuildSmart homes are inspected and certified by trained FPL energy experts and are up to 30 percent more energy efficient than homes not built to the program’s standards. |
